“ The Chart House is one of my go to restaurants in Waikiki! Newly renovated, with live music and a great happy hour! During this visit we decided to sit in the bar and shared coconut shrimp (ask for the firecracker shrimp dipping sauce), sweet and spicy chicken wings, and wagyu cheese sliders with fries! If you choose to eat from the dinner menu, I would highly recommend the Island Mahimahi, toasted macadamia nut crusted with mango salsa! ”
“ Finally went to renovated Chart House last night. Food was still good, but the new decor seems like a mainland chain restaurant now, little atmosphere & I miss the aloha wear. Navy polo shirts are boring. We sat at bar as sun screens at railings had been taken down. They still have the best osyter Rockefeller, zucchini & unroll sushi roll. I do love the glass float lights at the bar. Also with new carpet, hard to move bar chairs, it'll take time. ”
“ The energy in the restaurant was happy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. We sat on the deck and watched the fireworks while having pupus and cocktails. The kalua pork nachos were bomb! ”
“ I am a huge fan of The Chart House restaurants, from before they were bought out by the huge conglomerate. This is a remaining true original Chat House, withe the artichoke and the strong drinks. I love the laid back steakhouse feel and the friendly bartenders. I loved my bar conversation so much I forgot to take pics of my food ( gasp horror ) ”
“ I met friends at CH on a Saturday night to hear live music and check out their late night happy hour available 9-11pm. The music sounded great, the discounted drink prices were appreciated, and the happy hour foods were a good value as they were fresh, well-prepared, and the portions were large enough to share with the whole group. The renovated interior looks clean, bright, and airier with an improved layout, use of light-colored woods, and a lot more lighting in the bar area. We received very good service. Even at the end of the night, the staff serving us were still bright, fresh, and cheery. ”
“ Food: very tasty! We got bison burger, clam chowder, and spinach salad. The bison burger was medium rare with some of the best fries ever. The spinach salad was filled with goodies and yummy dressing. The clam chowder had to be sent back because it was not hot the first time but definitely hot when they brought it back out. The flavor was mediocre with limited clams. Service: very accommodating and friendly. Ambiance: crowded in the bar area that we asked to be moved to the dining area. (And they did relocate us with no issue.) Lovely view of the marina and fish tanks. ”
“ After 8 months of reservations, I dined in here last night for my birthday. It's been a while since coming to this restaurant for dinner. The lighting in this establishment is a lot better than in the past. There is much better lighting inside, the carpet looks like it was replaced as well. Some of the booths looked updated as well. He'enalu was our waiter. He was very attentive, friendly, and helped answer any question we may have had about anything on the menu. He would come back to check on us regularly which is also always a plus when dining in. Sometimes I feel like the waiters or waitresses may have forgotten us, but He'enalu was very good! Easy going and easy to talk to local bradda! I had Joey's Garlic Steak with white rice, a side Caesar salad and sautéed mushrooms. The Garlic steak was okay. It was my first time trying something new. I personally wouldn't order it again for $60+ and will go with the prime rib or rib eye next time. I felt the serving was small. My friend has the baby back ribs which was a full rack. I forgot to get a pic of it, but his meal looks way better and his was Ono (good)! At the end I was given a complimentary dessert for my birthday, which was nice. I ordered the Lava cake with vanilla ice cream. It has hot fudge in the middle of the cake with vanilla ice cream some raspberries. This was so good, but we were too stuffed to finish the whole dessert. I'm definitely going back again to have dinner or maybe even go for their Happy Hour one evening after work. ”
